Evidence and effects of nuclear war in the times of Mahabharata Radioactive Skeletons Nuclear blast as imagined in times of Mahabharata  — at  Indus Valley civilisation . Melted Remains i.e. Indus Valley remains Radioactive Skeletons and Melted Remains i.e. Indus Valley remains,, the great civilisation which suddenly got disappeared and turned into ruins ..................... The ruins of the ancient cities of Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa are extremely  radioactive. Practically nothing is known of their histories, except that both were destroyed suddenly. In Mohenjo-Daro, in an epicentre 150 feet wide, everything was crystallised, fused or melted; 180 feet from the center the bricks are melted on one side, indicating a blast. When excavations of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro reached the street level, they discovered skeletons scattered about the cities, many holding hands and sprawling in the streets as if some instant, horrible doom had taken place. People were just lying, unburi

Govt blocks EC move to make party funding transparent

Will such government which is blocking EC move for transparent funding to political parties, be able to bring back black money stashed outside India ?  - Editor New Delhi : In the seven years between 2004 and 2011, the Congress received over Rs. 2,004 crore from donors; the BJP got about Rs. 994 crore. Smaller and regional parties too got significant sums. These amounts were declared by parties; however, the source of over 85 per cent of donations is not known. The parties say donors gave sums less than Rs. 20,000, and need not be made public. The Election Commission's move to make party funding more transparent has not found favour with the union law ministry. Sources said the ministry recently wrote to the EC, saying its recommendations were not in conformity with Sec 29-C of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, which says parties only have to submit a list of donations above Rs. 20,000. The EC had recommended that anonymous donatio

Record break : People get Rs 0.001 per day salary under MNREGS

When per day wage under MNREGS is fixed at Rs. 133, then how people are getting salaries ranging from Rs. 0.001 to Rs. 35 ? Where all other money has gone ? Will Rajasthan Government stop this corruption ? - Editor Rajasthan : At Chenpura village in Dudu district, Ghisi Devi, Lad Kanvar, Sannu Kanvar and several others toiled to make a gravel road from May 5 to July 3 last year. After 12 working days, they earned Rs. 28, a dismal Rs. 2 per day under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. In neighbouring Sakhun, Shrirampura, Gagardu and Gangati villages, wages from Re 1 to Rs. 15 per day were handed out for various works under the scheme. This was revealed by the mustrolls listed in the official website of the Ministry of Rural Development. The Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan, a Rajsamand based-NGO, has submitted mustrolls of four districts in the state where similar dismal payments were made. In Didwana, Ajmer district,

Rahul Gandhi speaks at CII meet, tough to say what he spoke about

Must Read : Rahul Gandhi speaks at CII meet, tough to say what he spoke about There is something disconcertingly childish about the 42-year-old Rahul Gandhi. This wouldn’t be worrisome if he were a visiting lecturer from a minor leftist college. Rahul Gandhi just does not have the heft of a full professor either way. But this man is aspiring to become the Prime Minister of India if the buzz from  his party and the media (apart from the ‘constant buzz’ in his head) is to be believed, and he does admit India is “complex”. Unfortunately, there wasn’t one word he uttered that was the remotest bit practical throughout his meandering speech and the Q&A session (during which his answers had no relevance to the questions that were asked) that followed. Rahul Gandhi dabbled self-consciously with broad- brush thematics, full of tired platitudes and mawkish sentiment. He stumbled through his prepared speech after a fashion. There were no solutions offered. The biggest single idea stated w

"People are saying that I have repaid the debt of Gujarat and they are now asking me to repay the debt owned to India" said Modi.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday gave yet another hint that he was eyeing the prime minister's post when he said in Gandhinagar that he had repaid the debt of Gujarat and now people want him to repay India's debt. "Log kah rahe hain Narendra Modi ne Gujarat ka karz chuka diya hai ab Hindustan ka karz chukane ko kah rahe hain (People are saying that I have repaid the debt of Gujarat and they are now asking me to repay the debt owned to India)," said Modi.

Sanjeevani....Jai Hanuman

This article was published in one of my favorite newspaper THE HINDU i prefer this newspaper because of good language and no publicity stunts.share this article  When Lakshmana fell unconscious, near death, hit by an arrow from Ravana’s son Meghnad, Hanuman approached the Lankan Royal Physician Sushena for advice. Sushena asked Hanuman to rush to Dronagiri Hills and fetch four plants: Mruthasanjeevani (restorer of life), Vishalyakarani (remover of arrows), Sandhanakarani (restorer of the skin) and Savarnyakarani (restorer of skin colour) (Srimad Valmiki Ramayana, 74th chapter, Yuddakanda, Slokas 29-34). Hanuman, not able to pick the four from the multitude, brought back the entire hill. And Lakshmana was revived from near death back to life, and to victory. The important one Of the 4 plants, Mruthsanjeevani or simply Sanjeevani is the most important since it is believed to bring one from near death back to life. What then is this plant, where does it occur, and does it do what the Ram

ARE HINDUS COWARDS ?

notice:-   I would HIGHLY recommend to "READ" the full post and NOT just the headline before posting comments!! NEVER judge the book by it's cover ARE HINDUS COWARDS ? A very unique "POINT OF VIEW" worth sharing to ponder upon... It is HIGHLY recommended to "READ" the full post and NOT just the headline before posting comments!! NEVER judge the book by it's cover... :) “Muslims are bullies and Hindus cowards”, the Mahatma Gandhi once said. He may be right – at least about Hindus: there has been in the past 1400 years, since the first invasions started, very few Shivaji’s and Maharana Pratap’s to fight the bloody rule of the Moghuls, or hardly any Rani of Jhansi’s to stand against the humiliating colonial yoke of the British. If a nation’s soul is measured by the courage of its children, then India is definitely doomed: without the Sikhs, whose bravery is unparalleled in the more recent history of India, Hindus would have even lost addition

A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe

A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe,a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as somthing sperated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his conciousness. This delusion is a kind of preision for us, restricting us to our personal desiers and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to enhance all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”  ~ ALBERT EINSTEIN

Gujarat Lokayukta: Myths Vs Facts

Gujarat Lokayukta: Myths Vs Facts — How media is distorting truth Given the fact that a lot of myths and speculations from ill-informed journalists and commentariat as well as queries from genuine citizens have arisen in respect of the new Gujarat Lokayukta law , it would be useful to lay out a ‘Myth vs Fact’ report on the Gujarat Lokayukta law. Where a particular issue has been covered at length on other platforms, I will provide the appropriate links for readers who may be interested in studying more on the pertinent issue. At the outset, it is useful to point out that those journalists and commentators making wild allegations on the watering down of Gujarat’s Lokayukta law do not seem to have even read the law in the first place! This is an unfortunate occurrence which tends to vitiate and pre-judge any discussion on such matters of public importance. The author has accessed a copy of the Gujarat Lokayukta Aayog Bill, 2013 which is awaiting the Governor’s assent. Myth

Gujarat govt clarifies CAG audit objections on land allotments.

Gujarat government spokesperson ministers Nitin Patel and Saurabh Patel today said that in Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has in some cases done subjective audit instea d of objective audit. Following are some of the issues clarified by government spokespersons: CAG has objected land allotment to ESSAR Power in Jamnagar, but it the allotment in this case is as per the state’s land allotment review policy and this method is considered near match to the actual value of the land in which developed and undeveloped areas are scientifically considered separate. Land allotment to Kutch Coastal Power Gujarat Limited for power station has also been done through same method. How much weighate should be given for development aspect, during the process of valuation of land is decided as per this method. This method is not in implementation anywhere in the country. -The land has been allotted to L&T for technology park near Vadodara for availability of skilled human resource. State gove

40 percent of Pakistan’s youth back Islamic law : Survey

40 percent of Pakistan’s youth back Islamic law: Survey Islamabad : Ahead of crucial elections marking the first democratic transition in Pakistan’s history, more than 90 per cent of the youth believe the country is heading in the wrong direction while nearly 40 per cent think Shariah or Islamic law would be the best political system, a survey said. These are among the key findings of a new survey by the British Council that focussed on youths between 18 and 29 years, who are expected to play an important role in the May 11 general election. The ‘Next Generation Goes to the Ballot Box’ report, published today, indicated deep pessimism among the youth, many of whom will be voting for the first time. While pessimism was a worrying trend in the last ’Pakistan: The Next Generation’ report, it is “significantly worse” in the new report, said columnist Fasi Zaka, a member of the task force behind the survey. 40 percent of Pakistan’s youth bac

State policy of 'rehabilitation of terrorists' is highly flawed : Panun Kashmir

O Hindus, please note that Jammu and Kashmir Government is going to rehabilitate 'terrorists' who have taken arms training in Pak-occupied Kashmir and created havoc in India by killing hundreds of innocent Indians ! Now we need to establish Hindu Rashtra where rulers will properly tackle the problem of terrorism ! - Editor Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) : The Political Affairs Committee of Panun Kashmir held an urgent meeting to deliberate upon its responses to the emerging political scenario in the state. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prof. M.L.Raina, Chairman, Political Affairs Committee. It was attended among others by Shri Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir, Shri. Virender Raina, National Spokesperson, Shri. J. L. Kaul, Vice President, Shri. Upinder Kaul, General Secretary, Shri. Kamal Bagati, Shri. N. M. Gadroo and Shri. Ramesh Kaul. NaMo Mantra & IndiaToday's Shameful Conduct

Ever seen the fine print in a public contest advertisement? There is always a clause that reads somewhat like this: “ The following persons are not eligible to participate in the contest: (a) employee(s) of any company in XYZ Group and close relations of such employee(s), and (b) the employee(s) of companies that provide direct sponsorship of the contest ”. This is to prevent any malpractice through insider information in the contest . This clause should be applicable to some aspects of the Summits and Conclaves that our media often holds. This is where I consider the recent India Today Conclave 2013 (ITC) quite shameful in its process. If the purpose of debates and discussions in these conclaves is to bring out new ideas and thoughts then ITC is a major sham. I cannot list even one new idea it has brought forth from any of its participants, except Narendra Modi . But then Modi doesn’t need ITC to throw up ideas anyway. All that the rest of ITC does is peddle more of the same mind
