Introduction         After the founding of the ‘Hindu Janajagruti Samiti ‘ in 2002 in the next five years, to make Hindus aware of the attacks on their Dharma the Samiti launched various campaigns. This included protests against harm caused to Dharma directly, through memoranda or protests and chanting processions (namdindi) at the district level. These campaigns received a good response from the public. We were wondering what to do to retain the unity of Hindus so gained. After a study we realised that temporary unification of Hindus for a particular cause dwindles once it is accomplished or becomes stagnant. It is not fortified without a new topic or reason. For that Hindus have to be constantly made aware of the injustice done to them all over. Only if this is done then Hindus will unite time and again and get fortified to combat the different kinds of attacks on Dharma. By Kanchan Gupta The Congress-led UPA Government has once again revived the controversial Sethusamudram Ship Channel Project which, if implemented, will cause the destruction of Ram Setu. In 2007 UPA 1 had kicked up a row by contesting the existence of Shri Ram in its affidavit on the issue to the Supreme Court. The uproar of protest forced the Government to withdraw the affidavit and set up a committee of experts headed by environmentalist RK Pachauri. In its report, the Pachauri Committee advised the Government against proceeding with the project. Curiously, with the next general election looming on the horizon, the Government has once again decided to pursue the project whose cost runs into thousands of crores of rupees. Pushing through big ticket projects on the eve of elections is standard Congress tactics for more than one reason. By : Abhishek Tondon “RSS is no different from Taliban”, screams a tweet [1] by Shazia Ilmi, a prominent member of Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party. The statement can be matched in stupidity (or hatred) only by a similar one issued by Rahul Gandhi over two years ago in which he had compared RSS with banned terror outfit SIMI [2]. Rahul’s remark can be condoned as just another exhibit of his ignorance– he has many to his credit for that matter – for example the one where he talks of removing terrorism in 15 minutes by empowering villages [3]. But Shazia Ilmi is not as naïve. What else would explain her different and contradictory replies to the same question depending on the religion of the person asking her.
