Foundations of Vedic Science & Mysticism

“As rivers lose name and form when they disappear into the sea, the sage leaves behind all traces when he disappears into the light. Perceiving the truth, he becomes truth; he passes beyond all suffering, beyond death and all the knots of his heart are loosened”  -  Upanishads When  one looks at the immense sea of knowledge that has come down to us from the Vedic civilization one cannot help but feel overwhelmed at the timeless grandeur and depth of such wisdom. Wisdom that has not only cast its eternal light upon the earth but wisdom that has laid the primal foundations for all the world’s scientific and spiritual ethos. The Supreme Vedic Experience had unfolded within t he rishis of antiquity the discoveries of the immutable Source, furnishing cosmological insights into the macrocosm while revealing the transcendental truths of Atma-Vidya, the inner science. These Vedic rishis , the oldest and highest luminaries of sentient intelligence have been recognized as t...

Execution and Torture of Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, Sukhdev and Jatin Das as observed by the WEST!

Clipping from the "Daily Workers" (New York) newspaper dated March 25th, 1931. Labor Gov't Executes 3 India Rebels Frame-up Revolutionists For British Imperialism (Cable By Inprecorr.) LONDON, March 24. - The Three Lahore prisoners, Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukh Dev, fighters for the independence of India, have been executed by the British Labor government in the interest of British imperialism. This is one of the bloodiest deeds ever undertaken by the British labor government, under the leadership of MacDonald. The Indian National Congress opens at Karachi on Thursday. Indignation against the executions is causing mass opposition to the Gandhi-Irwin agreement. The Punjab members of the legislature propose an adjournment and censure of the government for the execution. The London press declares the Karachi congress is the supreme test of Gandhi's authority and doubts Gandhi's success. The execution of the three Indian revolutionists, on a deliberate political f...

Hinduism and Yoga

What is the link between Hinduism and Yoga ? Ans. Yoga is an internal part of the Hindu religion. Hinduism and yoga are inseparable. In ancient India, it has been part of man’s activities directed towards higher spiritual achievements. These practices were documented by Patanjali in the form of Yoga sutras. Also, all the yogic discipline are detailed in the many scriptures of the Hindu religion like Vedas, Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita etc. Hence, it is incorrect to divorce the spiritual disciplines of Hinduism and Yoga. Yoga as a Path to Self Realization The word yoga is derived from the root yuj ( to yoke, to unite), which means to unite or to join together the soul and the divine. A man who seeks after this union is called a yogi. The ultimate aim of yoga is to attain liberation of soul from the cycle of life and death. Yoga is a practical path to self-realization, a means of attaining enlightenment by purifying the entire being, so that the mi...
