Hindu Samhati distributes blankets to needy Hindus in Nadia

Hindu Samhati distributes blankets to needy Hindus in Nadia Democracy stands for Service not Speeches Democracy in any nation doesn't denote mere speeches or insensate services to indigenous people, especially people belonging to the lowest stratum of the society. Unless wretched people are bettered, there is no future. In contemporary  India , dashing hopes of founding fathers of Constitution of India, this has been the trend; myriad instances are there to prove how political or social originations go on delivering mere speeches leaving commoners high and dry.  No differences are witnessed on national holidays even; leaders who grace the daises continue doing the same while hapless people look on them helplessly. Hindu Samhati, ever since its commencement, has been against this pernicious mindset completely and the best instance of it remains distribution of garments, relief among poor Hindus whenever necessary. A perfect specimen of “Daridra Naray...

Thefts at Hindu temples are rampant throughout  Bengal  and with the indifference of police and administration, the number is rising overly. The grievous saga is not limited to any particular district but is extending far and wide. While a series of burglaries rocked Malda a few days back, now it is the turn of a Hindu temple in Bishpur Majherpara, a village under jurisdiction of P.S. Hasnabad, District: 24 Paraganas (North).   The village is known for the Kali  temple  of  Manimohan Memorial Trust  far and near. And that temple was targeted on January 25, 2013 at dead night. It has been learnt that valuables along with gold jewelries worth Rs. 1 lakh has been stolen. An official complaint has been lodged by Manimohan Memorial Trust; police is yet to get the culprits.     Hindu Samhati regularly monitors and reports violations against Hindus in  West Bengal . The Reangs - Forlorn, Forsaken and Forgotten

By Anil Dhir The reangs The slow metre gauge train from Agartala took six hours to make its way to Dharmanagar, just 140 kms away. The jolting and swaying of the coaches not only make the journey both very tiring, and interesting as well. I reached the small and quaint town of Dharmanagar in the dead of the night. My destination was Kanchanpur, a small Sub Divisional Headquarter in North Tripura on the Mizoram border. In the hilly forests surrounding Kanchanpur, spread over five camps, live the displaced Reangs. The Reangs, also known as the Bru, are a designated Scheduled Tribe spread in the states of Tripura, Mizoram and Assam, along with some scattered presence in the Chittagong hill tracts of neighboring Bangladesh. Because of their dwindling numbers and low socio-economic status, they have been officially classified as a ‘Primitive Tribal Group’, which entitles them to special development and protection measures. The Brus have been ...

Stop attacks on RSS offices or face wrath: BJP warns Congress

Why BJP is giving warning of starting nation-wide agitation to Congress even after Congress asking BJP to apologise for Ex-RSS Chief K Sudarshan's remarks about Sonia Gandhi ? Why BJP is waiting to agitate against Congress even after it called RSS as Terrorist Organisation? Why BJP is waiting to agitate against Congress even after scams like 2G Spectrum, CWG Scam are unearthed ? New Delhi: BJP today asked Congress to put a stop to attacks on RSS offices by its workers in protest against KS Sudarshan's remarks against Sonia Gandhi and warned that failure to do so would lead to nation-wide agitations on corruption in 2G Spectrum, Commonwealth Games and Adarsh Housing Society. "We are giving a stern warning to Congress that if it continues with its violence and anarchy inspite of all clarifications by BJP and the RSS, which remained calm even after Congress leaders equated RSS with SIMI, we will launch a nation-wide agitation to expose Congress on 2G Spectrum,...

Nehru, Abdullah betrayed Maharaja Hari Singh - Sandhya Jain

The duplicitous games played with the only monarch who embraced Indian nationalism long before freedom could be seen on the horizon, whose accession retained India’s civilisational and geographical link with the land of sage Kashyap, is best gauged from his anguished letter to President Rajendra Prasad on 16-17 August 1952, three days before the monarch was abruptly abolished. The 9000-odd word missive details the treachery of the Delhi durbar, choreographed by Jawaharlal Nehru and Sheikh Abdullah; Louis Mountbatten had moved on after initiating the State’s ruination. That such an important historical document is untraceable in the collected works of Indian statesmen is a telling commentary on how State-funded historians have fiddled with the history and memory of the Indian people. The integrity of such collections can be restored only by making every letter public, so that the nation can assess the heroes, villains and knaves for itself. Writing from ...

BJP to start TV channel in Andhra Pradesh

HYDERABAD: If TV viewers in the state thought that there is an overkill of news channels projecting the political news and viewpoints of leading politicians and parties, the field might get a little more crowded in a few months time. Convinced that the idiot box is the route to political success and growth, state BJP president G Kishan Reddy too is all set to go live 24/7. Kishan Reddy told TOI that a TV news channel is on the cards but clarified that it will not be the mouthpiece of the BJP but more to project his agenda though it will be in sync with the party's to a large extent. "The channel is on course but still a few months away as there are several loose ends that needs to be tied up," he said. What sounds interesting is the appetite for risk by the young BJP president to project himself as a potential leader and venture into a domain that continuously bleeds owners revenue. That too at a time when the public is already exposed to 32 local TV ch...

Hafiz Saeed wants India to be declared a terrorist state

NEW DELHI :  Home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde's claim that BJP and RSS were running terror camps in the country has given a handle to the Mumbai 26/11 mastermind in Pakistan, Hafiz Saeed, to make demands like declaring India a 'terrorist state' and a ban on BJP and RSS. Saeed wrote on Twitter that India's home minister had finally 'spoken the truth' and the world should take notice and declare India a state supporting terror on its soil, after Shinde's 'candid confession'. "Pakistan should raise this (Shinde confession of BJP and RSS terrorist camps) in UNSC and OIC. It is imperative to note that an organisation that has been sworn in government previously is maintaining terror camps and killing Muslims. The world should take immediate notice in an unbiased manner and ban these terrorist organisations," Saeed wrote on Twitter. Later in the day, he held a press conference where he said th...

MIM leader in trouble over remarks on Mahatma Gandhi

Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) : A local BJP leader on Friday filed a police complaint against Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (MIM) legislator Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri's for his remarks about Mahatma Gandhi's statue inside the state assembly. "The Nizams built the state assembly building in Hyderabad, but see what has happened. They have installed a statue of Mahatma Gandhi there. Who constructed it and who has been installed there," Quadri, who represents Charminar in the assembly, told a gathering in Karimanagar district's Jagityal town on Thursday. He said "we" have built all significant structures in India. "What have you done?" he asked. "We constructed Red Fort, Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Mecca Masjid and Charminar. What have you constructed in Hindustan?" Qaudri accused the state government of targeting MIM and framing his fellow party legislator, Akbaruddin Owaisi, jailed for alleged hate speec...

Digvijay Singh gives respect to Hafiz Saeed, calls him ‘Saheb’

New Delhi : The controversy over the Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde’s saffron terror remarks is yet to die down, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday has put the party in the dock by terming the Lashkar-e-taiba chief Hafiz Saeed as ‘Saheb’. Digvijay Singh said that Hafiz ‘Saheb’ is involved in terror activities and Pakistan government supports it. At a time when BJP is adamant on its demand for unconditional apology from Shinde over his controversial comment, the new controversy sparked by Digvijay Singh may put the Congress in the dock. It’s being assumed that mastermind Saeed is instrumental in the brutal killings of Indian soldiers along LoC in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan on January 8. Saeed visited the site where Indian jawans were beheaded by Pakistani troops. Using respectable words for terrorists is not new for Digvijay Singh. He has earlier used such words for slain al-Qaida terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Source : Jagran
