Phone calls between Yasin Bhatkal and key players blow the lid off the IM base in Dubai

Dubai has emerged as the source from where the Indian Mujahideen (IM) gets its funds to wage terror on Indian soil. This has been revealed in a series of phone call details accessed by Mail Today. A number of phone calls made by Yasin Bhatkal, heading IM's India operation, and some key players, and which had gone undetected by Indian intelligence agencies, blow the lid off the IM base in Dubai and the financial support it gets from the Gulf country. It was only after the Maharashtra ATS, investigating the July 2011 Mumbai serial blasts , completed its probe last year that the funding trail became clear. But the fact that these calls were made and the numbers went undetected for months points to a major intelligence failure. The call details reveal that IM's Dubai-based operator in-charge of handling finances, Muzaffar Kola, was in constant touch with a hawala operator in India who was managing the group's finances through h

‘Bhojshala’ Mukti Andolan : Beginning of ‘Dharma-kranti’ !

Mr. Ramesh Shinde, National Spokesperson, HJS   While introducing our country as an ancient nation of enlightened sages and brave heroes, we don’t really know history of regions which are close to us. The so-called historians of this country have hidden the treasure from us by trying to conceal the facts of Mughals and Christians grabbing our regions or have distorted our history. The renowned treasures of Hindus like ‘Sriram Janmabhoomi’ in Ayodhya, ‘Srikrushnabhoomi’ in Mathura, ‘Sri Kashi-Vishweshwar’ in Kashi’ etc. were attacked and similarly, ‘Bhojshala’ of King Bhoj in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, the temple of Sri Saraswati Devi was also attacked. Muslims are now trying to grab this temple by calling it as ‘Kamal Maulana’s mosque’ although proofs of the place being a temple are available and the political parties are bound to take advantage of the situation ! ‘Maulana’ Digvijay Singh of Congress banned Hindus from going to this t

Terrorist freed after IC 814 hijack to revive JK militancy

Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar, one of three militants released by India in 1999 in exchange for passengers of a hijacked Indian Airlines flight, has decided to revive an "armed struggle" in Jammu and Kashmir  while using Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as the base for his Al Umar Mujahideen group. Little was heard of Zargar alias Latram, a resident of Srinagar , after his release along with Maulana Masood Azhar and Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh in exchange for passengers of flight IC-814 that was hijacked by Pakistani militants from Kathmandu in Nepal to Kandahar in Afghanistan. Zargar, the chief of the Al Umar Mujahideen, had been lying low in Narul area of Pakistan occupied Kashmir capital Muzaffarabad since his release. He decided to reactivate his group in the aftermath of the hanging of terror suspect Afzal Guru in India earlier this month, The News daily reported. In recent interviews, Zargar has said a "reinvigorated" armed struggle in Jammu and

So begins the poll dole : UPA mulls financial sops to woo Muslim voters ahead of 2014

The government is raining sops to get the 10 crore-odd voters from the minority community back to its poll tent. In what could be a game changer among Muslim voters , the Minority Affairs Ministry has decided to increase the loan limit for small entrepreneurs and self-help groups from the existing Rs.5 lakh to Rs10 lakh. This will be made available to minority groups, primarily Muslims as beneficiaries, at a mere 4 per cent annual interest, which is 8-10 per cent for others. In addition, the ministry has also made a provision for loan up to Rs.20 lakh for pursuing higher studies for Muslim youths at just 2 per cent interest. The banks usually give such loans at 12 per cent annual interest for general category students. Confirming these two key steps, Minority Affairs Minister K.Rahman Khan said, "The steps have been taken at an internal meeting of the ministry, and we do not need to go to the Cabinet for the execution. These would be administe

Defence scams and Kashmir

The Chinese lunar Year of the Black Water Snake has begun on February 10. Snake years have generally produced significant and enduring change. India has at least two festering problems that are in urgent need of resolution. And they are both an enormous strain on our limited resources. One is the lack of spine shown in the handling of Jammu & Kashmir by successive Indian Governments. In fact, the indulgences shown to the politicians and public figures in the Kashmir Valley have made the situation increasingly complicated. The latest travesty involving Yasin Malik and Hafiz Saeed, posturing in Islamabad, is brazenly playing out before our very eyes! The other, which tends to spawn ironic jokes in frustration, is the sorry state of defence related procurement and the indigenous defence manufacturing capacity. Arms dealers and scandals related to them are all too frequent, and the numbers involved are gargantuan. The 12 AgustaWestland

Why 'Namaskar' and not a 'hand shake'?

While visiting places of worship and viewing the Deities or after meeting a elderly or a respected person our hands are automatically joined together in Namaskar. Namaskar is a sattva predominant impression on the Hindu mind, an action that maintains the rich heritage of Hindu culture. Namaskar is a simple and beautiful act of expression of divine qualities like devotion, love, respect and humility that endows one with Divine energy. Nowadays, perhaps due to ignorance about the Science of Spirituality or the increasing influence of the western culture, many people shake hands. Why is it not appropriate to shake hands? Avoid a Hand Shake: It tranfers undesirable raja-tama components! In short, in a handshake, the raja-tama components in one person will get transferred to the other person, thereby lowering his sattvikta (Purity levels). While practicing Spirituality, our objective is to perform acts which

No sign of shift in Pak strategic policies : US scholar

There is no indication of any fundamental shift in strategic policies of Pakistan, a noted US scholar has said, noting that Islamabad's  recent effort to improve ties with India appears to be driven by short term goals. "Change in Pakistan's relations with India and Afghanistan and in its sponsorship of terrorism for political purposes is real but does not yet indicate a fundamental shift in strategic thinking," Frederic Grare, senior associate and director of Carnegie's South Asia Program, said in his latest article on Wednesday. "The shift thus far has been prompted by short-term considerations and reflects Pakistan's weakness and isolation. However, if the tentative changes lead to improvement in the country's economy and security, a meaningful shift in Pakistan's strategic character could take hold," he said. Referring to the recent clashes between Pakistani and Indian forces in Kashmir, he said this indicate that tensions

ATTACKS ON HINDUS in Godhra - A story that is Hidden

Facts which our secular Indian media specially ndtv will never show........ An  India Today  article contained the followings accounts of retaliatory violence against Hindu communities, though the list is far from complete: In Ahmedabad, violence broke out on March 17 when Dalits in the Danilimda area were attacked by Muslims. On March 19, it was Modasa, a town in Sabarkantha district. A police officer's son was stabbed and two communities went berserk.... The stories only got more macabre. In Himmatnagar, a young man who went to a Muslim-dominated area to do business was found dead, with his eyes gouged out. In Bharuch, the murder of a Muslim youth led to mass violence. Next the Sindhi Market and Bhanderi Pole areas of Ahmedabad, hitherto calm, were attacked by mobs. This phase, really, was one of Muslim mobs attacking Hindus. By the time [Prime Minister] Vajpayee arrived [on April 4] the Hindu throngs were looking for blood again. The cycle seemed unending, at least for
