ABVP ask KBC to correct misleading info on its political affiliation 12th Oct 2011: Today Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad(ABVP) General Secretary Umesh Dutt has asked KBC(Kaun Banega Crorepati) producers for public apologize for its claim on the political affiliation of ABVP. KBC in its programme on 11 october, 2011 while answering one of the question, on Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has claimed that ABVP is a student wing of BJP. Umesh Dutt clarified that ABVP is not a student wing of BJP but it's a independent student organisation registered on 9th July,1949. ABVP's registration No. S-385/1949-50. It is interesting that though BJP was founded in 1980 still KBC has formed its question- answer on completely misleading information.  ABVP asked KBC to correct this misleading information regarding ABVP within a week otherwise it has decided to go for legal action.
