Medinipur (West Bengal) : Around 200 fanatic miscreants came together in the late night on Sunday (on 12-05-2013) and rampaged in a Kali Temple near Keranitola in Medinipur Town (West Midnapore Dist of West Bengal). Hindraf leader P Waythamoorthy (front row, centre) has been named to the new Cabinet Putrajaya (Malaysia) :   Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today announced a "balanced cabinet" comprising experienced and youthful individuals as well as technocrats. Among the surprise inclusions were Transparency International Malaysia president Datuk Paul Low and Maybank president and CEO Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar, who were both made ministers in the Prime Minister's Department. Hindraf leader P Waythamoorthy, meanwhile, was named a deputy minister in the PM's Department. India would not have lost its sheen as a country of farmers if Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had been the first Prime Minister, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday, ruing the "poor" national agricultural growth. "The nation is falling behind in agriculture. If 'Khedut Putra' (son of farmer), Sardar Patel had become the first Prime Minister, this would not have happened to our farmers... Somehow, we took the wrong way," Modi said addressing a gathering of farmers at Krishi Mahotsav in Bharuch. Eesha Khare, from Saratoga, California, was awarded the Young Scientist Award by the Intel Foundation after developing the tiny device that fits inside mobile phone batteries, that could allow them to charge within 20-30 seconds.
