Senior Congress MLA and Mumbai city Congress president Janardan Chandurkar on Tuesday sparked a row by demanding that artists who publicly praise political leaders should return their Padma awards. Chandurkar has made this irresponsible comment at a public rally in south Mumbai. “The Artists those who are exhibiting support to politicians should give up their Padma awards or else the Government should strip them of their Padma awards,” Chandurkar said in a obvious reference to queen of melody Lata Mangeshkar’s endorsement of Modi for Prime Minister.
