Modi is facing threats from the Lashkar-e-Taeyyba(LeT), Hizbul Mujahideen, Indian Mujahideen (IM) and Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), they say. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, the Union Home Ministry has decided to issue a high-security alert to every State where the Gujarat Chief Minister is set to address a rally. The report quoting the red alert said that Hyder Ali alias Abdulla, a IM terrorist, is said to have travelled from Lucknow to Gorakhpur on January 11 to target Modi.
