Rescued dog climbs the Himalayas

KATHMANDU: An abandoned puppy rescued from a rubbish dump in India  has trekked to Everest  Base Camp, becoming what is believed to be the first dog to tackle the peak, his owner said Wednesday. Former professional golfer Joanne Lefson  told  AFP she adopted the 11-month-old dog, called Rupee, in the mountainous Indian town of Leh last September and decided to take him on a trip to the camp at 5,364 meters. The pair began “Expedition Mutt Everest 2013” in the Himalayan town of Lukla on Oct. 14, intending to raise awareness about the plight of homeless dogs and promote pet adoption. They finished the record-making feat 13 days later, describing it as “one giant leap for dog-kind” on Facebook. “I am so proud of Rupee. I thought I might have to carry him on some days, but instead, he took the lead and pulled me along,” Lefson said. When she first saw the puppy, she said, he was dehydrated and close to death: “He was really skinny, he looked like he h...

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj: Founder of Hindu Kingdom

Quote:  People who sing and dance in a procession organised to celebrate the birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj will never understand his importance. However the one who puts in efforts like him will be able perceive his greatness and surrender at his feet! - H.H. Dr. Jayant Athavale, Sanatan Sanstha Shivaji Maharaj is a principle of effulgence, rather a divine inspiration. He is certainly not human, he is God. Shivaji Maharaj is a Primal God who took birth in a divine and pure culture. In history, no other religion has produced such an immaculate personality. One has yet to see a monarch who despite being powerful did not use his powers to torment, who despite being glorified was not arrogant, who conquered valorous enemies and who despite being a human functioned as a God ! NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training) has made only a 5 lines mention of Shivaji Maharaj in the std. 7 th text book 'Our Past - 2'. However in stark contrast it gives ...

Why Modi is targeted by Pak based ISI and Indian Mujahideen?

Nationalist Narendra Modi is in the hit list of anti-nationalist fundamental Muslim Groups. But whose clear ‘Hand’ is there? Upananda Brahmachari | Patna | 01 Nov 2013::  In a very critical juncture of Indian politics Sri Narendrabhai Modi, the Chief Minster of Gujarat has been been emerged as the Prime Ministerial candidate of BJP in the next Parliamentary election of India  in 2014.  As, Naraendrabhai Modi inherits the magnitude of pure nationalist spirit of Thiruvalluvar,   Shivaji, Rana Pratap, Sikh Gurus, Swami Vivekananda, Lokmanya Tilak, Sri Aurovinda, Netaji Subhas Bose and maintains the legacy of Dr Hedgewar, Dr Shyamaprasad Mookherjee, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Sardar Patel, he has no hesitation to call himself as a Proud Hindu Nationalist.  For this very original feeling of Nationalism, each and every patriotic persons in this country  find their intention to support Sri Modi as a warrior of this country to combat the subversive an...

Hindu Elements in Indian Constitution.

Hindu Elements in Indian Constitution. The implication of Hindu Culture and Tradition in Indian Constitution. Upananda Brahmachari | Hindu Existence Bureau | 26 January 2014::  India i.e. Bharat is celebrating its 65th anniversary of adopting its Constitution as it was taken granted on the day of 26 th  January, 1950. We are very much proud for the Indian Constitution and celebrating the Republic Day, but we never look through the Hindu Elements in Indian Constitution or the implication of Hindu Culture and Tradition in it. The partition of India in 1947, made this unique land of cultural unity divided into two pieces on the basis of two nation theory, Hindu-Muslim basis which was undesirable to the majority people.  But, the communal minority Muslims procured their holy land of Pakistan on the strength swords and the cunning politics in connivance of the British who adopted ‘divide-&-rule’ policy. Though least blood shedder and the minimum troub...

Beware of Valentine's Day - A cultural conversion of Hindus !

Notice To My Readers :- I am also a Youth of India. I am not against Valentine's day like fanatic's like of other religion's. But my thinking is why will you celebrate "One Day" for showing your Love. It is not one day affair to Show your Love, do this everyday or every minute. We Hindu's are not prohibited to celebrate This day BUT its your Own Choice.  Bharatiyas feel great by celebrating averse western days like 'Valentine's Day' due to slavery to westerners.  The fact is that in many western countries 'Valentine's Day' is not celebrated at all. Not only this, but while publishing the revised calendar of the Roman Catholic Saints in general, 'Valentine's Day' is omitted in it. If this is so then why should it be given so much importance in Bharat? Religious festivals, vowed religious observances (Vrat-Vaikalye) which have originated through Bharat's glorious culture have no parallel. HJS call youth to ou...
