Dombivali (Maharashtra) : A plot of land which is limited by borders, is a country. When its citizens unite with each other in their joys and sorrows, it becomes a Nation. When injustice is meted out to Kashmiri Pundits, why do we feel sorry? When our sisters, mothers are molested, why do we get angry? Such questions should be asked by everyone to self and we should become active out of that. The above message was given by national ‘Pravachankar’ and writer,Shri. Dr Satchidananda Shevade.
A program was held on behalf of BJP, Dombivali (W) on Sunday, on the occasion of death anniversary of the first revolutionary, Vasudev Balawant Phadake and the topic of debate was ‘revolutionaries – a hurricane ’.Shri. Dr Shevade narrated many unknown incidents from life history of the greatest revolutionary, Swatantryaveer V. D. Savarkar and Vasudev Balwant Phadake and kept the audience spellbound. During the period before independence, mainly in 19th century, casteism was not given much importance. He proved by giving examples that women in those days were also quite educated. Shri. Ravindra Chavan, BJP-MLA attended the program besides 500 people interested in history.
Highlights
1. The program was concluded with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’.2. Many books written by Shri. Dr Shevade on various subjects related to nation were exhibited at the venue.
