Muslim Appeasement Forces Bengal to Financial Doomsday Fast

Rhetoric of Mamata Didi in accusing the central government of snubbing Bengal intentionally leading to an empty treasury or on how a cash-strapped government can cater people’s basic needs has become intolerable to a multitude of Bengal’s population, according to sources. They have been found to wonder the government’s intentions even!

What is more, they have started to indict that the Chief Minister is just buying time only before the final collapse while her sycophants are busy in garnering wealth in every capacity – greatest example being the abysmal decline in law and order situation of the state. There are other charges as well – while lots feel that Didi is completely inept to administer, a greater number of people consider her as mere deceiver – even if the state government remains cash-strapped and the premier wonders where from she can manage 7% more to the existing Dearness Allowance to its employees (announced already), there has been no dearth of bountiful expenses to better Muslims – their Imams and Muazzins in particular.

Being a journalist, it has always been my prime concern to delve into any subject painstakingly. So when people are charging the Bengal premier of leading the state to a (apparent) religious bifurcation with financial destruciton, the issue must also be examined.

A glance at the available records reveals that the honorariums rendered to Imams and Muazzins have cost the state dearly.

According to statistics available from the Board of WAKFS Bengal, during the period from April 14, 2012 and December 30, 2012, Rs. 50 crore 51 lakh 44 thousand have been rendered to 23, 636 Imams of 19 districts. 10, 340 Muazzins of all these (19) districts have received Rs. 11 crore 36 lakh 36 thousand 160.

The expenses regarding honorariums to Imams and Muazzins, as found from government records, are not minimal in any way but people consider that there is no necessity of the same. Since, mosque in any nook remains duty-bound to look after welfare of its employees through its own funds collected through Zakat there is no need of any other state-funded honorarium.

How can this act of Didi be defined then? The majority of people in Bengal (including her own party’s members) considers said approaches as nothing except a blatant appeasement to Muslims ruining the state (when it is so stone-broke) altogether. They are also found to assert had the same money been used for developmental jobs, Bengal would have been better than what it is today.

But………..Muslim appeasement is call of the day and if the state fails miserably for doing the same, none is there to care.

Hail nationalism!

The concept of 33 koti devata in Hinduism!

The concept of 33 koti devata in Hinduism: The Vedas refer to not 33 crore Devatas but 33 types (Koti in Sanskrit) of Devatas. They are explained in Shatpath Brahman and many other scriptures very clearly. "Yasya Trayastrinshad Devaa Ange Sarve Samaahitaa, Skamma Tam Bruhi Katamah Swideva Sah”. ~(Atharva Veda 10-7-13) Which means: with God’s influence, these thirty-three (supporting devta) sustain the world. In Brhadaranyaka Upanishad while discussing Brahman, Yajnavalkya is asked how many gods are there. He says that there are three hundred and three and three thousand and three gods. When the question is repeated? He says, thirty three. When the question is again repeated he says, six. Finally, after several repetitions he says ONE. (Chapter I, hymn 9, verse 1) The number 33 comes from the number of Vedic gods explained by Yajnavalkya in Brhadaranyaka Upanishad – the eight Vasus, the eleven Rudras, the twelve Adityas, Indra and Prajapati. (Chapter I, hymn 9, verse 2
