Kolhapur (Maharashtra): For the last one year, the slaughter house was shut down; but Mr. Pruthviraj Chavan, the State Chief Minister (CM) granted permission to open it for 3 days on the occasion of ‘Bakr Id’ and even inaugurated it. (Pro-Muslim Congress Govt., right from the time of Nehru, has been encouraging cow-slaughtering for the past 64 years in this country where Hindus form 80% of the population. The population of cows/ cattle has come down from 80 crores to 11 crores in this period. None of the so-called animal- lovers or environmentalist has taken the matter seriously. Time has now come for this Congress Government, which is cursed by millions of Hindus, to be overthrown ! – Editor SP)
Many pro-Hindu organizations condemned this act and protested. They forced the police to keep a vigil and see to it that cows were not slaughtered there. (Congratulations to devout Hindus who came forward for protection of ‘Gou-mata’ ! – Editor SP) They protested against the CM at 11.30 a.m. at Shivaji Chowk. This slaughter house was shut down as it posed health hazard for the local residents.
Mr. Dilip Bhivate, the zonal deputy chief of ‘Hindu Ekata’ said, “In Chhatrapati Shivaraya’s Maharashtra, the Chief Minister seems to have granted permission directly to slaughter cows. I condemn this act. When Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was going to Vijapur, he came to know that a Muslim had killed a cow; therefore, he was punished by cutting off his hands. This is our history; but the CM is acting in unrighteous manner.”
Mr. Banda Salokhe, the Chief of Bajarang Dal for Western Maharashtra has also condemned the above act and has made an appeal to pro-Hindu organizations to be vigilant and prevent such things. Mr. Mahesh Ursal, the District-chief of Bajarang Dal condemned the incident on behalf of the organization. He said, “Ban is imposed on Hindu festivals and their various customs and traditions; but for the sake of votes, slaughter house is re-opened for three days which is an attempt to create rift between two factions of society.” Mr. Suresh Chavan of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) expressed disapproval of the policy of CM and Congress Government and said that it was done only for the politics of obtaining votes. The devout Hindus then submitted a representation to Lakshmipuri police station in the presence of Mr. Hindurao Shelake, Anna Potdar, Chandrakant Barale, Bapu Vadgaonkar, Pandurang Kadam, Sachin Joshi, Rinku Sonar, Sachin Mangore, Shivajirao Sase of ‘Hindu Ekata’ and many activists of HJS.
