Hindus have to abide by Dharma for protection of Dharma ! – Shri. Vijay Purohit

‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha’ at Sakharpa, Devrukh; 400 devout Hindus attend

Devrukh (Maharashtra) : There is a common thread between all the devout Hindu brethren who have come here to attend ‘Dharmasabha’ and that is ‘the God Principle’ amongst us. We all are Hindus. Hindu means who gives up all things which are inferior, low or bad. We have to protect our ‘Motherland’, mother, ‘Gou-mata’ and ‘Ganga-mata’. Our culture imparts knowledge to the world; but attempts are being made to destroy our culture. Hindus should get ready for protection of their culture. Hindus should follow the tradition as prescribed by Dharma and for protection of Dharma, Hindus have to abide by Dharma. We should unite as Hindus even if we may belong to different sects or castes.

Our ‘Vedas’ have tremendous knowledge related to science. Today, whatever is explained under science, has come from ‘Vedas’.  Every Hindu should give some time for activities related to protection of nation and Dharma. The above appeal was made by Shri. Vijay Purohit, a devout Hindu. On 3rd March, ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha (Dharmasabha)’ was held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) at Sakharpa in Sagameshwar Taluka which was addressed by Shri. Purohit. The ‘Dharmasabha’ was attended by about 400 devout Hindus. Shri. Rajendra Patil of Sanatan Sanstha, Shri. Suresh Shinde of HJS and Sou. Pallavi Lanjekar of ‘Ranatagini’ shared the dais with Shri. Purohit.

The ‘Dharma-sabha’ was started with recitation of ‘Veda-mantras’ by ‘Purohit’, Shri. Sanjay Athalye and his group followed with lighting of lamp by the dignitaries. Shri. Anil Mandavkar, a representative of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ was felicitated on the occasion. Shri. Annasaheb Divate of HJS spoke about various activities undertaken by HJS. The program was compeered by Sou. Devayani Bane.

Congress cannot impose ban on the progress being achieved by Sanatan’s seekers and Saints ! – Shri. Rajendra Patil

Congress should not dream of closing down Sanatan’s few ashrams so as to eliminate Sanatan. Hundreds of homes, following the principles advocated by Sanatan based on Dharma, will become Sanatan’s ashrams. Congress can even impose ban on them but it cannot stop spiritual progress achieved by Sanatan’s seekers and Saints.

Take part in HJS activities for protection of Dharma ! – Shri. Vijay Purohit

Many pro-Hindu activists have been working hard through the medium of HJS with detached attitude for building up of ‘Hindu Rashtra’. As a lamp can be lighted with another lamp, Hindus should join the activities of HJS for protection of Dharma by getting inspiration from today’s ‘Dharmasabha’.

The concept of 33 koti devata in Hinduism!

The concept of 33 koti devata in Hinduism: The Vedas refer to not 33 crore Devatas but 33 types (Koti in Sanskrit) of Devatas. They are explained in Shatpath Brahman and many other scriptures very clearly. "Yasya Trayastrinshad Devaa Ange Sarve Samaahitaa, Skamma Tam Bruhi Katamah Swideva Sah”. ~(Atharva Veda 10-7-13) Which means: with God’s influence, these thirty-three (supporting devta) sustain the world. In Brhadaranyaka Upanishad while discussing Brahman, Yajnavalkya is asked how many gods are there. He says that there are three hundred and three and three thousand and three gods. When the question is repeated? He says, thirty three. When the question is again repeated he says, six. Finally, after several repetitions he says ONE. (Chapter I, hymn 9, verse 1) The number 33 comes from the number of Vedic gods explained by Yajnavalkya in Brhadaranyaka Upanishad – the eight Vasus, the eleven Rudras, the twelve Adityas, Indra and Prajapati. (Chapter I, hymn 9, verse 2
