Pune (Maharashtra) :
The existing laws are capable of handling matters related to superstitions. The Government is trying to pass the anti-superstitions Bill under influence of handful of atheists. Passing such Bill without discussing it with Warkaris, is deception of Hindus. The Government should not try to pass such Bill. If this Bill is passed, whole of Maharashtra will be incensed and Congress will have to lose power in the next elections. The above warning has been given by Warkari Saints to Maharashtra Government in a press conference held on 25th February.

The press conference held at ‘Patrakar Bhavan’ was attended by H.B.P. Bhanudas Maharaj Dhavalikar, the President of ‘Sant Dnyaneshwaer Maharaj Palakhi Sohla’, H.B.P. Ramakant Maharaj Bongale of ‘Sangli District Warkari Sanghatana’, H.B.P. Anand Maharaj Patil, H.B.P. Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Patil, H.B.P. Bhagavan Maharaj Kokare, the President of ‘Warkari Mahamandal’ for Ratnagiri District, H.B.P. Bapu Maharaj Raokar, Warkari Sena’s Regional President for Konkan, Mr. Sunil Ghanavat of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) etc.

This Bill should not be passed at any cost ! – H.B.P. Bhanudas Dhavalikar

In July 2011, the Chief Minister had promised to appoint ‘Coordination Committee’ in connection with this Bill; but such Committee has not been formed till now. Even basic amenities have not been provided to Warkaris at Pandharpur. Nowadays, even water is not available to Warkaris for having bath. Instead of solving such problems, the Government is trying to pass superfluous Bill like anti-superstitions Bill. This Bill should not be passed at any cost.

Where is the need to pass this Bill when police are not demanding ? – H.B. P. Ramakant Maharaj Bongale

The existing laws are adequate to take care of offences committed due to superstitions. Police have not expressed need for passing a new Bill, then why should such Bill be passed?

... then rulers will lose power ! – H.B.P. Bapu Maharaj Raokar

If ‘Hari-path’ is taught to children in schools, all superstitions will be eradicated. Only atheists feel that such Bill should be passed; but the Government should not draw wrath of Warkari Sampradaya by passing such Bill. Still if it is passed, the rulers are certain to lose next elections.

... then Warkari Sampradaya will not keep quiet ! – H.B.P. Anandrao Maharaj Patil

Faith and superstition have not been defined under this Bill. There is no development at places of pilgrimage like Dehu, Alandi and Pandharpur. The Government should declare where the amount of grant allocated for development of places of pilgrimage has been spent. The Government should not pass anti-superstitions Bill. If this Bill is passed, the Warkari Sampradaya will not keep quiet and we warn that the whole Maharashtra will be aflame.

Warkaris will oppose this Bill till the end ! – H.B.P. Bhagavan Maharaj Kokare

The propagation made by the Government about Warkaris supporting this Bill is totally wrong. The Government should remember that all organizations and institutions of Warkaris from Mahrashtra are against this Bill and will always oppose the same. In case the Government tries to pass such Bill by betraying Warkaris, we will not allow budgetary session of State Assembly to take place.

HJS will always be with Warkaris in this regard ! – Sunil Ghanavat

When Maharashtra is facing many grave problems like famine, inflation, terrorism etc., why does the Government feel that anti--superstitions Bill should be passed ? 7,00,000 Warkaris had stopped ‘Palakhi Sohala’ at Vakhari as a mark of protest against the said Bill. Warkaris are representatives of Hindus.  The Government should not ignore them under the influence of few atheists. HJS will also join Warkaris to strongly oppose this Bill all over Maharashtra.

Statements made by Warkaris expose Dr. Dabholkar !

1. The trust, of which Dr. Narendra Dabholkar is the President, is funded by foreign countries but he tells lies that not a single penny is received from abroad for the trust.

2. Members of ANiS are associated with Naxalite movement and investigations are going on about the issue. It is, therefore, foolishness of the rulers to dance to their tune.

Circular issued by H.B.P. Nivrutti Maharaj Vakte to be distributed !

‘Bheeshmacharya’ of Warkari Sampradaya and the President of ‘Rashtreeya Warkari Sena’, H.B.P. Nivrutti Maharaj Vakte has written a representation to Maharashtra Law Minister explaining the shortcomings in anti-superstitions Bill which was distributed in the press conference. This representation will be distributed in whole of Maharashtra through ‘keertan’ programs.

The concept of 33 koti devata in Hinduism!

The concept of 33 koti devata in Hinduism: The Vedas refer to not 33 crore Devatas but 33 types (Koti in Sanskrit) of Devatas. They are explained in Shatpath Brahman and many other scriptures very clearly. "Yasya Trayastrinshad Devaa Ange Sarve Samaahitaa, Skamma Tam Bruhi Katamah Swideva Sah”. ~(Atharva Veda 10-7-13) Which means: with God’s influence, these thirty-three (supporting devta) sustain the world. In Brhadaranyaka Upanishad while discussing Brahman, Yajnavalkya is asked how many gods are there. He says that there are three hundred and three and three thousand and three gods. When the question is repeated? He says, thirty three. When the question is again repeated he says, six. Finally, after several repetitions he says ONE. (Chapter I, hymn 9, verse 1) The number 33 comes from the number of Vedic gods explained by Yajnavalkya in Brhadaranyaka Upanishad – the eight Vasus, the eleven Rudras, the twelve Adityas, Indra and Prajapati. (Chapter I, hymn 9, verse 2
