Chinese general warns India on border issue:

July 4: On the eve of Defence Minister AK Antony’s visit to Beijing, a Chinese general warned India on Thursday against stirring up fresh trouble in a long-running border dispute. But after allowing some ruckus and tensed moments, China downplayed its General’s ‘warning’ to India.
But when on Thursday India raised the issue with China, the Dragon told the Elephant that it was “not reflective” of the official view.
Major General Luo, the deputy-director general of the World Military Research department at a PLA academy, who describes himself as a ‘reasonable hardliner’ had told India not to ‘stir up’ border trouble.
“The Indian side should not provoke new problems and increase military deployment at the border areas and stir up new trouble,” Major General Luo Yuan said.
