Appeal to devout Hindus
'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' (English: Run Milkha Run) is an upcoming Indian biopic on former athlete Milkha Singh, slated for release on July 12, 2013. The film is produced and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Viacom18 media. The lyricist is Prasoon Joshi. There is a highly objectionable song in the movie, containing the following lyrics "Havan-kund Maston ka Jhund... Havan Karenge, Havan Karenge, Havan Karenge, Havan Karenge". As seen in the video, the actors use explicitly suggestive moves while mouthing 'Havan karenge'. This extremely outrageous use of word 'Havan', a term defining a sacred form of worship for Hindus, is downright derogatory and objectionable ! This song is nothing but a serious insult and denigration of 'Havan culture' and Hindu Dharma.
Now it is duty of all Hindus to protest lawfully against Viacom18 and Rakyesh Mehra so that they withdraw this vulgar song denigrating 'Havan' for cheap commercial gain. They should also render unconditional apology to Hindus for hurting their religious sentiments. Devout Hindus can also take legal course against producers of 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'. Hindus should also boycott 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' movie unless producers tender the apology.

Do the lyricist, director or actors even know the sacredness of 'Havan'?
'Havan' (other names : Homam, Yagnya) is the very foundation of Hindu Dharma. Since inception of Vedas, Havan is the bedrock of our culture. A complete Veda (Yajurveda) is even dedicated to the Yagya practice. The greatness of Sanatan Dharma is such that even the mundane practice of eating food is equated to a Havan (When we eat food, we satiate the 'agni' in the stomach, which is akin to offering food to the sacred fire in a Havan). Chanting (the name of God) has been called a Yagnya by Bhagawan Shri Krishna. (यज्ञानाम् जपयज्ञोऽस्मि - Bhagawatgeeta 10-25)
Are only Hindu practices open to ridicule / denigration?
Would lyricists dare compose the lyrics by replacing Havan with 'Namaz' or 'Mass'? Would the producers dare to use such lyrics in their movies? If someone comes up with a similar song with the word "Namaz" in it, there would be riots not only in Bharat but across the world. But these shameless anti-Hindu lyricist and producers have stooped to new lows in a bid to ridicule Hindu culture and practices !
In the Tretayug (Second era of existence), various Saints and Sages used to perform Yagnyas for the welfare of every living creature. However, Asuras (demons) would not only interrupt such yagnyas, they would also destroy them. The song is also doing same demonic activity by trying to destroy the image of a sacred concept like Havan.
O Hindus, learn pride for Dharma from Christians and Muslims !
Recently producers of the movie 'Policegiri' agreed to drop an item song from the movie, as Christians have objected the way in which a 'rosary' has been used in the song. The movie 'Vishwaroopam' was banned in some states of Bharat due to objections raised by Muslims. Will the producers of 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' care to accord similar respect to sentiments of Hindus ? Hindus should protest this denigration until the song is removed.
