Go Raksha-Cow Protection

HINDU EXISTENCE FORUM IS DEDICATED WITH SAVE COW MOVEMENT ALONG WITH ITS ALL HINDUTVA ACTIVITIES.

Hindu intellectuals please stop propagation of beef eating and cow slaughter……..

~Upananda Brahmachari.

vande-gau-mataram1As a Hindu, I deserve a special veneration to Mother Cow (Go Mata) alike Mother Earth, Mother Ganga or Mother Gayatri, the exponent of Vedas for the highest revelation of consciousness.
But, in my 30 years of  Hindu activism, I could not spare any special thrust for the Save Cow (Go Raksha) Movements until I join with Rashtriye Goraksha Sena (RGS) of Sri Ashoo Mongia in 2011. With the team of  RGS, the movement of Go Raksha got an impetus and I tried my level best to design a new dimension of this sacred movement in West Bengal in a practical level of  confrontation with the opponents supporting the rampant cow slaughter in West Bengal violating all the existing rules and regulations. In the same year I was acquainted with another Save Cow activist of Arya Samaj of West Bengal, Acharya Yogesh Shasrti whose association in the cause of Go Raksha gave me a continuous scope to widen the Save Cow Movement in West Bengal and adjacent States. The Bangiya Arya Pratinidhi Sabha is also associated with the judicial procedure for Banning the Cow Slaughter in West Bengal with its tireless efforts. I am fortunate so that I have got amply scope to render my technical support for the existing Court Cases connected with banning cow slaughter. I am also  engaged with building up an awareness generation for the protection of  Go Sampad (Assets) for the development of our country, as well as the protection of our Sanatan-Vedic-Hindu culture and heritage based upon our extreme veneration to Go Mata.
Now, I have been facing a very odd experience with my other fellows linked with Go Raksha Andolan (movement) coming from some quarters of  renowned Hindu Thinkers and Writers and some Hindu Activists (very few in number) who are extremely engaged with propagating beef eating and consequently cow slaughter very wrongfully hurting the major Hindu sentiments. These persons are writing books, distributing leaflets with the propagation of beef eating and cow slaughter as a basic foundation and heritage of Hindu Dharma with a very suicidal measures to dismantle the Hindu respect and faith of Cow worship and Cow Protection as a Dharmik practice.
Related Go-Samvad:
These persons are taking the help of some text Dr Ambedkar who acted as a chief antagonist of his Hindu counterpart by writing the defamatory Riddles In Hinduism in which he challenged the authenticity of Vedas and the identity of Hindutva.  In this book Dr Ambedkar tried to thrash out both Lord Rama and Lord Krishna to demoralize the Hindu practices in Bharat. With the help of quotations from Dr Ambedkar, the present Hindu writers and self proclaimed savior of Hindutva very scrupulously tried to infuse beef eating in the Hindus connected/influenced by them.
These persons are also the taking the help of some text of Swami Vivekanda, who in a clear confusion for beef-eating and was not an exponent of Vedas or Sanskrit Grammar or some technical pedagogy without which, the real meaning of Mantras (Hymns) aren’t revealed anyway.  These persons are also taking the confusing illustration of some Vedic Mantras lead to a wrong direction and helping the Muslim preachers who always try earnestly to offer a piece of cooked beef  to any Hindu to make it consumed by a Hindu in any method  to cross the renounce line for his religious restrictions above all. But,  these Hindu propagators are not ready to hear anybody to rethink over their anti-Hindu misdeed or to retry to understand the facts about the real heights of Go Mata in our Scriptures.
Some of such Hindu beef propagators, I think under some conspiracy beyond their imagination are actually victim of  certain Anti Hindu lobby, who are very tactfully using Hindu intellectuals against Hindus like a iron cuts the iron. I can say such two Hindu experts for ‘beef eating’ in West Bengal are Dr. Radhasyam Brahmachari and Rana Pratap Roy. Dr Brhmachari is an eminent Hindu Thinker and excellent writer of Hindu Philosophy, History, Religion (actually Dharma which is quite different from Religion) and best Bengali exponent of anti-Jihad. He was a senior professor of Applied Physics Department of Calcutta University and also adorned the presidential post of Vishwa Hindu Parishad of West Bengal Unit, who was rather expelled from mainstream Hindu organisations due to his embarrassing propagation of beef eating. Another, Sri Ranapratap Roy is an ex-service man (perhaps in the higher echelon in Indian Army) and is a key person in one Save India Mission, who thinks that eating beef is the most effective remedy to save India with much physical and mental strength. In their every discussion in the present days, they jointly propagate beef eating to strengthen our reactive power against anti-Hindu force, specially the Jihadi Islamic force.  What an irony that Muslims propagate beef eating to strenghtless our congenital bondage of Hindutva and these self proclaimed Hindu saviors think beef eating to strengthen our sense of Hindu heritage.
We earnestly urged these Hindu beef eaters to understand the Vedic reality and not to propagate the unauthentic Vedic-Hindu myth of Cow Sacrifice in Yajna (fire-sacrifice)  or beef eating, but they are discarding all of our points in a very fundamental way of Muslims under which they kill cows and eat beef only to hurt Hindu sentiments and creating communal disharmony. We have every answer for our Hind friends who madly propagate cow slaughter and beef eating, but they are only to rely the Secular and Muslim views against the Hindu Unity.
Even then, we urged all consciousness to spread  its strength of truth under the blessings of Cow Protection in the cause of Nation building. In the next portion we reproduce some pages fromhttp://www.agniveer.com for this page dedicated for Go Raksha and Samvardhan (Protection and Development). We believe that the confused persons may get rid off their  hostility to kill cows and eat it cynically. We are also indebted to Dr Subramnian Swamy  for using one of his articles here for Cow Protection. Vande Gomataram!

There is no Beef in Vedas

Vedas – Myths and Reality
This article is also available in Hindi athttp://agniveer.com/4387/there-is-no-beef-in-vedas-hi/
The material presented here is based on a thorough and objective analysis of roots of Vedic words, the context in which they appear, Vedic Vocabulary,  Philology, Grammar and other tools critical for correct interpretation of the Vedic mantras. Thus this research series does not merely rely on blind reproduction of works of Max Muller, Griffith, Wilson, Williams and other indologists on Vedas and Vedic language. While they are more popular in contemporary western academia, we have objective reasons to conclude that their works are far from authoritative. We shall explore this facet in more detail in this research series. Welcome to this first part of the research series on critical evaluation of Misconceptions surrounding the Vedas – the first books of knowledge on earth.
For centuries aspersions have been cast upon the Vedas; the primary holy scriptures of the Hindus of having unholy contents. If one really started believing in those aspersions, the entire Hindu philosophy, culture, and traditions would reduce to nothing but savagery, barbarism and cannibalism.
The Vedas – the very roots of Hinduism, rather the first source of knowledge on earth – are meant for guiding the actions of human being in order to lead a blissful life.
This slanderous campaign has been unleashed by different vested interests to embarrass Hindus around the world citing specific references from the Vedas.
This also comes handy in convincing poor and illiterate Indians to give up their faith on the grounds that their fundamental holy books – the Vedas – contain all the inhuman elements like denigration of women, meat-eating, polygamy, casteism and above all – beef eating.
The Vedas are also accused of animal sacrifice in sacrificial ceremonies popularly known as the YAJNA. Interestingly a section of home-bred intellectuals claiming to have deep study of ancient India has also come up, who cite references from works of western indologists to prove such unholy content in the Vedas.
Saying that the Vedas permit beef-eating and cow-slaughter amounts to striking a lethal blow to a Hindu’s soul. Respect for cow forms a core tenet of Hinduism. Once you are able to convince him of flaws in the foundation of this core tenet and make him feel guilty, he becomes an easy prey for the predator faiths. There are millions of ill-informed Hindus who are not empowered to counter argue and hence quietly surrender. Read details here>>

No Beef in Vedas – 2

MARCH 24, 2011 BY SANJEEV AGNIVEER.

Vedas – Myths and Reality
No Beef in Vedas
We had published an analysis of the allegation that Vedas have references of beef-eating and animal sacrifice in http://agniveer.com/68/no-beef-in-vedas/ . We provided ample evidences in this work that:
a. Vedas are completely against animal killing and violence on innocent creatures
b. Vedic Yajna is by definition non-violent and animal sacrifice is against Vedic precepts
c. Contrary to claims of beef consumption in Vedas, there are references that call for protection of cows and destruction of those who kill this most productive and harmless animal.
Thankfully after the publication of this work, the slanderous campaign against Vedas has lost its teeth significantly and no reasonable rebuttal to the content of the work ever surfaced. However, a few minor voices have continued to mislead people on this issue using splinter quotes from translations of Vedic literature by incompetent western indologists and juxtaposing them with their own agenda. In this work, we would attempt to address some of those allegations and make the two part work a reasonable single point reference to counter any such misled campaign in future. For those desiring a more detailed exposition, we have already provided a list of references at the end of Part 1 of the work.
So lets begin:
Allegation:
It is well-known that animal sacrifice was necessary in Yajna. Vedas are full of praise of Yajnas.
Agniveer:
Yajna word is derived from root ‘Yaj’ by adding Nan pratyaya. Yaj root has three meanings : Devapuja (behaving appropriately with the entities around- worshipping Eeshvar, respecting parents, keeping the environment clean etc are few examples), Sangatikaran (Unity) and Daan (Charity). As per Vedas, these form the primary duty of human beings and hence Yajna is so emphasized not only in Vedas but in almost entire Indian literature of ancient era.
What is important however is the fact that Yajna has no reference to animal killing whatsoever. In fact, Nirukta (Vedic vocabulary) clearly states in 2.7 that Yajna is called Adhwara. Dhwarameans violence and hence it is totally banned in Yajna.
In other words, forget about animal killing, any kind of violence – through mind, body or voice – is completely banned in Yajna.
Adhwara is used to imply Yajna in a large number of mantras in the Vedas. For example, Rigveda 1.1.4, 1.1.8, 1.14.21, 1.128.4, 1.19.1, Atharvaveda 4.24.3, 18.2.2, 1.4.2, 5.12.2, 19.42.4.  Around 43 mantras in Yajurveda refer to Adhwara.
In fact Yajurveda 36.18 clearly states that “May I look upon everyone – Sarvaani Bhootani (and not only human beings) with friendly eyes.”
Thus, Vedas, nowhere justify animal sacrifice and on contrary condemn any form of violence on innocent beings.
Historically, there may have been prevalence of animal sacrifice, but that has nothing to do with content of Vedas. Many Muslim girls and boys have been working as vulgar models and actresses in film industry. In fact in Bollywood, most top actors and actresses have been Muslims. This does not necessarily mean Quran justifies vulgarity. Similarly, adultery and pre-marital sex is widespread in Christian countries. This does not mean Bible demands them to indulge in these vices.
In same vein, while animal sacrifice may have been an historical phenomenon due to decadence of Vedic values, we openly challenge anyone to cite even one single reference from Vedas that talk of animal sacrifice in Yajna. Read details here>>

Cow Is A Sacred Asset Of The Nation

~ Dr. Subramanian Swamy
When India fought the First War of Independence in 1857, and Bahadur Shah ‘Zafar’ was installed as emperor by the Hindus in Delhi for a brief period, his Hindu Prime Minister, on the emperor’s proclamation, made the killing of cow a capital offence. Earlier in Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s kingdom, the only crime that had capital punishment was cow slaughter.
One global patent has been granted for cow urine, neem and garlic as a pest repellent, fungicidal and growth promontory properties for all different crops.
Our West influenced intellectuals and mentally dominated by foreign idiom, sneer at the mention of the cow, leave alone speaking about the cow as an asset to the nation. But we know that these intellectuals first sneered at yoga, now it is a fashion for them doing pranayama at cocktail parties. They also sneered at our sanyasis, calling them disparagingly as “Godmen”. Now they flock to ashrams with their white friends ever sincethe Beatles did. Who knows, they may soon boast of a cow in their backyards. For those of us who are desi by pedigree and conviction, I place some facts about the cow in the new perspective of modern Hindutva.
India has 150 million cows today, giving an average of less than 200 litres of milk per year. If they could be fed and looked after, then these divine animals can give an average of 11,000 litres of milk as the Israeli cows do. That could provide milk for the whole world. The milk we produce today is the cheapest in the world. With enhanced production by raising the productivity of milch cows we can become the world’s largest exporter of milk and India’s biggest foreign exchange earner.
The cow was elevated to the status of divinity in the Rg.Veda iself. In Book VI, the Hymn XXVIII attributed to Rishi Bhardwaja, extols the virtue of the cow. In Atharva Veda (Book X, Hymn 10), the cow is formally designated as Vishnu, and “all that the Sun surveys.” This divine quality of the cow has been affirmed by Kautilya in his Arthsastra (Chapter XXIX) as well.
The Indian society has addressed the cow as gow mata. The Churning of the Sea episode brings to light the story of the creation of the cow. Five divine Kamadhenus (wish cows), viz, Nanda, Subhadra, Surabhi, Sushila, Bahula emerged in the churning.
Cow is there in the company of Bhagwan Dattatreya and Gopal Krishna. Cow is the vehicle of Shaillputri and Gowri – two of the nine manifestations of Goddess Durga. Ancient coins with image of bull Nandi on them have been found in excavations.
Thousands of names of places, persons and things in our country have name of the cow: e.g. Gauhati, Gorakhpur, Goa, Godhra, Gondiya, Godavari, Goverdhan, Gautam, Gomukh, Gokarna, Goyal, Gochar etc. , that signify the deep reverence and high ground reserved for the cow and her progeny in our culture. Why? Because of the deep abiding faith that the cow is verily the Annapurna.  Read details here>>
We bow to all the devotees for Cow Protection Movement. Cow Protection Movement is a very important factor for the Unity of the Hindus to make a hindu Rashtra in Bharat. Vande Go Mataram. Jayatu Jayatu Hindu Rashtram.

The concept of 33 koti devata in Hinduism!

The concept of 33 koti devata in Hinduism: The Vedas refer to not 33 crore Devatas but 33 types (Koti in Sanskrit) of Devatas. They are explained in Shatpath Brahman and many other scriptures very clearly. "Yasya Trayastrinshad Devaa Ange Sarve Samaahitaa, Skamma Tam Bruhi Katamah Swideva Sah”. ~(Atharva Veda 10-7-13) Which means: with God’s influence, these thirty-three (supporting devta) sustain the world. In Brhadaranyaka Upanishad while discussing Brahman, Yajnavalkya is asked how many gods are there. He says that there are three hundred and three and three thousand and three gods. When the question is repeated? He says, thirty three. When the question is again repeated he says, six. Finally, after several repetitions he says ONE. (Chapter I, hymn 9, verse 1) The number 33 comes from the number of Vedic gods explained by Yajnavalkya in Brhadaranyaka Upanishad – the eight Vasus, the eleven Rudras, the twelve Adityas, Indra and Prajapati. (Chapter I, hymn 9, verse 2...
